Chris Says... C System's Playing With Dogs is one of the darkest records we have put out on the label. Hammered by the likes of Dave Clarke, we got New UK talent Max Cooper, Rob Gibson and m0dularmatt to provide us with stellar remixes alongside Chris Finke. The Official Press Says.. Playing With Dogs first appeared in the public eye at the end of 2007 when Dave Clarke championed it on his White Noise radio show, and charted it at #1. The growling, anthemic peak-time techno monster and was given a digital only release by Advanced Records, and we are proud to now be able to give it the full vinyl release. The main hook of the track is a dark and infectious powerfully deranged E-Dancer type bassline…this needs to be played loud! Flux’s own Chris Finke turns in more of a tech house mix, and although this is aimed at different dancefloors to the original, this is no less as effective. Keeping the main elements, Chris has twisted them up and added one huge breakdown’s and the final result has been rocking the dancefloors for those who have had the early CDRs of it. This mix did not appear on the Advanced Records digital release! When Laurent Garnier and Dave Clarke chart a track it’s a sure fire sign of quality, and Rob Gibson’s remix is just that. Bridging the gap between the previous 2 mixes, this sits perfectly in the middle and ads classy synths and melodies to make this funked up re-working a quality future classic.
